8 Weeks Pregnant - Signs of Pregnancy
Mother
At 8 weeks pregnant you may find your clothes becoming a little uncomfortable and although you're unlikely to require maternity clothes just yet, you may find you have to go up a size or leave a button open.
Alternatively, you can purchase elastic extenders for jeans, skirts and trousers so you get a little longer out of your wardrobe!
This is a good time to see your dentist. You may have noticed your gums bleeding a little and although this is very common during pregnancy, your dentist will want to give you a check-up to make sure there is no gum disease. Remember, you are entitled to free dental care in the UK when you are pregnant.
Baby
Your baby is continuing to grow rapidly. His heart and brain are becoming more complex, his back is straighter, his head is more upright, his arms and legs are getting longer, a tongue is beginning to form and he is now approximately 2cm long! His intestines move into his abdomen and he has webbed fingers and toes.
