Breastfeeding Problems and How to Avoid Them
Breastfeeding problems are fairly common amongst new breastfeeding mothers but easily avoidable. Most breastfeeding problems are minor and usually settle down soon after the birth of the baby, or with treatments available on prescription.
Sometimes it's simply a matter of adapting your breastfeeding position or correcting the baby's latch although there can also be times when it's more of a medical problem.
The most common breastfeeding problems include:
- Leaking
- Engorgement
- Blocked Milk Ducts
- Mastitis
- Abscess
- Cracked or Sore Nipples
- Thrush/Yeast Infection
