Pregnancy Day by Day: Day 3

By day 3 of your pregnancy (ie, whilst you are on day 3 of your period) it is time to consider stopping or changing current medications you are taking that may harm your baby if you get pregnant.

Have a chat to your gp about the side effects of any prescribed medicines you may be taking. Remember that some take a number of weeks or months to completely leave your system so it may not be safe to get pregnant until they are completely gone from your body. Also check any over the counter and herbal or homeopathic medicines that you regularly use too as some of these can have a negative impact on pregnancy.
